Challenge your self to do the RunThrough Newcastle 10K. This 10k run through Newcastle lets you take in the famous landmarks of the Newcastle Quayside passing the Swing Bridge and under High Level Bridge, Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, King Edward VII Bridge & Redheugh Bridge, before returning the same way.
This is an extremely fast, flat course that boasts real PB potential, whilst being accessible to beginners to kick start the year!

- Includes entry to the run, race T shirt, chip timed results, unique themed medal, free official event photos & post race goodies
- The race will be split into 2 waves with Sub 40minute runners starting at 9:00, shortly followed by the mass B race at 9:25am. You will need to note which race you would be suitable to enter at time of booking
- No fundraising is required for this event. The race is in support of The Children’s Foundation and not in connection with Newcastle Hospitals Charities
Race Information
- Arrival and race pack collection times: A Race – 7:30-8:30am / B Race – 7:50 – 8:50am
- On arrival you will need to attend the registration desks, then give your name to the staff at the desks in order for them to locate your pack. Your number will be assigned on the day and you will receive your T shirt at the kit desk
- If you have booked on behalf of someone else and have not informed SSC of this at this point, the person attending will need to give your name on arrival to receive their number and T shirt
- Attach your number to the front of your shirt (we recommend safety pins or magnets)
- Your timing chip will be attached to the bottom of your race bib, tear this off and slot into your shoe laces
- Please ensure to fill out the runner information form that is linked on Page 6 of the attached information. This is used in case of emergency on the day
- We will have a warm up in the event village 15 minutes prior to the start of the B race. From here, we will call out estimated finish times to get all runners lined up in and ready to run
- Please note the A race won’t have a warm up, we advise conducting your own warm up if you’re participating in the A race
- As this is a 2-lap race, runners with an expected finish time of under 40min should be in the A-Race and over 40mins in the B-Race. If you have been placed in the wrong race, please go to race info on the morning to exchange your bib number
- There will be a water station at approximately 5k. There will also be a bottle of water waiting for you at the finish line We recommend bringing your own water to stay hydrated in the lead up to the event

If you are at work you will need to apply via the “At work booking link” button. This will take you to our online booking system and this is the quickest way to book tickets or places for an event. If you are working at home and have access to a Trust device/network, you also need to apply via the “At work booking link” button. People working remotely/flexibly should still use this booking option.
If you are on a day off, annual leave, other leave such as sick/maternity OR you are bank staff/direct debit payer, you need to apply using the “At home booking form” button. You can get to our website by Googling “Flourish Newcastle Hospitals”, our website is accessible from any device. At the time of release you will then be able to download the Word application form by clicking the “At home booking form” button. Your device will need to be compatible with Microsoft Word to allow you to download and complete the form. Once all sections are complete, you need to send it back to us at [email protected], from your personal email address which is registered on your account. Your personal email address must be registered on your account with us before sending. You can register by emailing us from your work email address, confirming your payroll number and personal email address you would like to register.
Please make sure your device is compatible with Word before trying to book. Prior to the event release, please download the test application form on the device you will be using to apply from home here: SSC Home Application Form Test. This is a test application form and will not be accepted for any event applications.
Any applications which have information missing from the form will not be processed. We will aim to contact people where we cannot process forms however, this may be some time after the event release due to the volumes of applications we receive and therefore, you may miss out on places. Please take time when completing your application form and read all sections carefully. For this event you will need to note your preferred race start time on your booking.
Applications are processed on a first come first served basis to ensure that ticket allocation is fair for everyone. You will then be informed, usually within, 5 working days whether you have been successful in gaining tickets or not.
