SSC Members & Events – Behaviour & Civility Charter

Bulletin Images (1)

Following a big Trust wide initiative to improve how we all work together, and how things feel at work, we want to take the opportunity to highlight this for all Staff Social Club (SSC) members.

We expect all members to commit to each element of the charter while representing the SSC and the Trust, both internally and externally, whether it be in our onsite fitness centre facilities or offsite at social events and day trips.

How we treat each other both inside and outside of work really matters.

We know that sometimes our behaviours towards each other can fall below the standards we all deserve – we are all human. Work and home life can be very stressful, but when poor behaviour or unkindness shows up, too often it can be hurtful and have a negative impact on others.

We all have influence and a responsibility to establish an inclusive environment, where everyone feels physically and psychologically safe. We want to ensure this is put into action by all members on every SSC organised event, so people feel comfortable attending, whether it is on their own or with family and friends.

We will all thrive in a supportive culture, where we treat each other with kindness and respect and want to ensure all members can enjoy the experiences we offer through the Staff Social Club to the fullest.

You can read more about the Behaviour and Civility Charter here.

Please note this charter does not replace our policies and procedures and any issues of concern about inappropriate behaviours from members should be dealt with via our Operational Policy and Rules of Membership, which can be found here.
