We are excited to announce that our annual elections are now open for members to express their interest!
We currently have several positions available on the committee for the new financial year 2026/27. Expressions will be sought and then put out to the club for members to vote on who they would like to be elected – who sits on the committee is down to you!
Have you always wanted to get involved in the Staff Social Club?
Now is your chance as we are seeking expressions of interest from those who would like to join. The role is to ensure that your fees are spent wisely and appropriately and to ensure that the SSC is serving its purpose, benefitting staff, by providing social activities and recreational facilities.
As a committee member you also receive complimentary access to the Fitness Centres.
We welcome expressions of interest from all SSC members who wish to join our diverse committee. Whilst members from any department are encouraged to apply, this year we are particularly keen to receive interest from colleagues in IT and Estates. This is due to ongoing system development projects and planned fitness centre refurbishments, where specialist knowledge and technical expertise would be especially valuable to the committee.
Please note that applicants from these areas will not be given priority; all expressions of interest are voted on equally by our members.
The committee meet every 2 months, between 4:00pm and 5:30pm on a Tuesday. These meetings are online via MS Teams.
Expressions of interest can be submitted until 12 noon, Friday 27th February 2026
All members will then have an opportunity to read about each of the nominees and vote throughout March – a voting link will be shared via email 02/03/2026. Voting will be open until 02/04/2026.
An announcement will then be made in April to notify members of the successful candidate at our annual AGM, 30/04/2026. All candidates will be notified prior to this date. The news of the successful candidate will then be shared to all SSC members via email correspondence and website bulletin.
