Committee Elections 2024/25


We are excited to announce that our annual elections are now open for members to express their interest!

We currently have a number of positions available on the committee for the new financial year 2024/25.

Expressions will be sought and then put out to the club for members to vote on who they would like to be elected – who sits on the committee is down to you!

  • Expressions of Interest – Have you always wanted to get involved in the Staff Social Club?

Now is your chance as we are seeking expressions of interest from those who would like to join. The role is to ensure that your fees are spent wisely and appropriately and to ensure that the SSC is serving its purpose, benefitting staff, by providing social activities and recreational facilities. The committee meet every 6 weeks, between 4:00pm and 5:30pm on a Tuesday. These meetings are online via MS Teams.

As a committee member you also receive complimentary access to the Fitness Centres.

We welcome all nominations irrespective of people’s race, disability, gender, sexual orientation, religion or belief, age, gender identity and in particular those from under-represented groups.

  • Members Vote

Once we have all expressions of interest, we will send an email to all members with a link to vote. Please note that each member will have 5 votes they can distribute amongst those up for election.

The member vote will take place from Monday 4th March to Monday 1st April 2024please check your emails for a voting link from

In the event that we only receive the same number of expressions of interests as vacancies, the individuals will be automatically elected onto the committee and no member cote will take place.

  • Announcement

Once the member vote has ended, the votes will be counted and those individuals elected will be notified by Friday 5th April 2024. The Chair of the Staff Social Club will then formally announce those elected at our Annual General Meeting, Thursday 18th April 2023. Following the AGM announcement, there will be a website bulletin, as well as an email to all members naming those who were successful in obtaining a position on the Staff Social Club Committee.

Update 24/04/2024: We would like to thank all nominees, as well as everyone who voted this year. We have welcomed 3 new Committee members from across the Trust, Laura Thompson, Emily Baxter and James Reed, with 2 committee members securing re-election, Phil Powell (SSC Chair) and Lorrain Olsen. We now have a full committee with 15 members.
